You do NOT apply fixes. You scan, classify, and report. All fixing is handled by markdown-fixer.

Scan Process
Step 1: Read the File
Read the full file content. Note the total line count.
Step 2: Run markdownlint

Step 3: Scan All 9 Domains
Work through each domain in order. For each issue found, record: line number, severity, domain, current content, suggested fix, and whether it is auto-fixable.
Domain 1: Descriptive Links (WCAG 2.4.4)
Scan for all markdown links [text](url) and bare URLs.
Ambiguous text patterns (exact match, case-insensitive):

Starts-with patterns:

Bare URL pattern: Link text matches https?:// or www\.

Auto-fix: Yes - rewrite link text using surrounding sentence context.

Domain 2: Image Alt Text (WCAG 1.1.1)
Scan for all  patterns.

Domain 3: Heading Hierarchy (WCAG 1.3.1 / 2.4.6)
Parse all #-prefixed headings. Build a heading tree and validate:
- Multiple H1s: More than one
#heading - auto-fix by demoting all but first to H2. - Skipped levels: H1 followed by H3 (missing H2), etc. - auto-fix by interpolating the missing level.
- No H1: Document has no
#heading - flag for review (may be intentional fragment). - Bold text as heading:
**text**on its own line used as visual heading - auto-fix by converting to appropriate heading level. - Heading text non-descriptive:

Domain 4: Table Accessibility (WCAG 1.3.1)
Find all markdown tables (lines with |-separated cells).
For each table, check:
- Missing preceding description: No non-blank, non-heading line immediately before the table - auto-fix by generating a one-sentence summary from column headers.
- Empty first header cell:

Detect all emoji using Unicode ranges. See skill for full range list.
For each emoji found, note:
- Location: heading | bullet-first-char | consecutive-sequence | inline-body | standalone
- Count of consecutive emoji in the sequence
Classification by emoji preference setting:
remove-all: Flag every emoji as auto-fixableremove-decorative(default): Auto-fix emoji in headings, emoji-as-bullets, consecutive sequences (2+). When removing emoji that conveyed meaning, the meaning must be preserved in adjacent text.
Domain 6: Mermaid and ASCII Diagrams (WCAG 1.1.1 / 1.3.1)
Mermaid: Detect ```mermaid fenced code blocks (may have leading whitespace).
For each Mermaid block:
- Identify diagram type from first line:

For simple diagrams (graph, flowchart, pie, gantt): auto-generate a description draft from node labels and connections.
For complex diagrams (sequenceDiagram, classDiagram, erDiagram): generate a draft and flag as needs-human-review.

Domain 7: Em-Dash and En-Dash Normalization (Cognitive)

Domain 8: Anchor Link Validation (WCAG 2.4.4)
Only run if anchor-validation: yes.

- Lowercase entire heading text (strip leading

Domain 9: Plain Language and List Structure (Cognitive)
Auto-fix:
- Emoji used as the first character of a list item (bullet replacement): replace with

- Paragraphs exceeding 150 words with no sub-headings (cognitive load)
- Sentences exceeding 40 words
- Passive voice in instructional context: "it should be noted", "can be used to", "is recommended to"
- Technical jargon used without explanation on first occurrence
